IND vs BAN Super 4 Asia Cup 2023 Details
On September 15th, 2023, the final match of the Super 4 stage will be held at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The live action is set to commence at 3 PM IST.
Pitch and Weather Conditions
The pitch has begun favouring the bowling side, and although batsmen might manage to score some runs initially, the spinners are likely to pose challenges. As a result, it’s anticipated that the teams will achieve an average score of approximately 250 runs in this match.
There’s an increased likelihood of precipitation, similar to what we witnessed during the India vs. Pakistan game. Consequently, clouds are expected to disrupt the match proceedings. There is no reserved day for this encounter. If rain persists, both teams will share points. Sri Lanka holds a superior Net Run Rate (NRR) compared to Pakistan, which would enable them to qualify for the final in such a scenario.

IND vs BAN: Super 4 Match 6 Preview
Team India
The dream run continues for the Indians. The group stage went well with an easy win over Nepal by 10 wickets. A little concern over the batting approach toward Pakistan in the washout game came to light but it was reformed during the Super 4 match. They defeated Pakistan quite comfortably and made history as it was the highest defeat margin in the ODIs.
Rohit Sharma and Co put up a show and did everything right. The batting was fantastic and the skipper himself smashed his third consecutive fifty in a row of the tournament. The top 4 batsmen got the fifties and hundreds and this instance is very rare. Shubman Gill along with Rohit Sharma got an excellent start and scored a fine fifty. Then King Kohli and KL Rahul made brilliant hundreds and took India’s score to 356 for 2.
The match was played on the reserve day and Pakistan bowlers couldn’t pick up any wicket. Indian bowlers did an excellent job too. Against Pakistan, they bowled good lines and lengths. Kuldeep Yadav stole the show with his 5-fer. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj bowled economically.
The match against Sri Lanka was a crucial one. After a steady start from the openers, batters faltered against Dimuth Wellalage’s sensational spin bowling spell. Gill, Kohli and Rohit went in quick succession. KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan made a good little partnership in the middle overs. Once they got out, India came under pressure and in the end set the target of 213 runs. In reply, Bumrah led from the front with his brilliance. He got rid of Pathum Nissanka and then removed Kusal Mendis to put India in control. Kuldeep Yadav once again bowled beautifully and took 4 wickets and won the match by 41 runs.
Team Bangladesh
Their only win came against Afghanistan in the group stage match and then nothing worked for them. In the Super 4 stage, they first faced Pakistan and the latter completely outclassed them in both batting and bowling. Only Shakib and Rahim made fifties but no contribution from the other batters. Their bowling was ordinary too and Pakistan easily chased the target of 194 runs with 7 wickets in hand.
They played better cricket against Sri Lanka in the next match. The bowlers did a good job to restrict Sri Lanka to 257 for 9. Sri Lanka started really well and it looked like 300 the way they were batting but a good comeback from Bangladesh bowlers prevented it. In reply to this, the batters did falter initially but Towhid Hridoy made an excellent 82 runs and tried to fight till the end. Other batsmen didn’t support him and Sri Lanka won by 21 runs.
